Palmanian Automotive Servicing Graduates Qualify for Deployment in Japan

Eight Automotive Servicing NC II Batch 2020 graduates of Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Senior High School are soon to be deployed in Japan after completing the rigid and comprehensive skills training and passing the series of examinations and interviews conducted by Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology, Inc. or TMP Tech.

A qualifying exam was held on February 24, 2020 at the campus and 56 students passed and were offered two types of scholarship such as two-year Toyota General Job Automotive Servicing Course and one-year HINO Japan scholarship. Qualified students were given full scholarships including free accommodation at Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology, a world-class technical training school at the Toyota Special Economic Zone (TSEZ) in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

At present, nine Palmanian graduates sponsored by different local dealers in Metro Manila successfully got the general job, four graduates qualified for Auto Body Paint job sponsored by Toyota Commonwealth and Fairview, and eight graduates sponsored by HINO Motors qualified to be deployed in Japan. The following are currently preparing the necessary documents for the said deployment in different locations in Japan such as Kagawa, Aichi, Hokkaido, and Tokyo.

For HINO scholars, a rigid and comprehensive one-year training was conducted for the scholars to attain quality skills and an On-the-Job Training to suffice the needs and standards of the industry most especially abroad and a National Certificate Passement NC I, II and III were given to the scholars to measure the acquired skills both in written and actual performance.

Toyota Motor Philippines is a subsidiary of HINO Motors Corporation wherein one of their advocacies is to help poor and deserving students who are willing to take automotive course, the scope of scholarship offered are the following; free tuition fee in full, dormitory, sets of uniform, sets of tools needed for workshop, food is not included but the best things is right after the graduation, scholars will automatically qualified for abroad as long as they are qualified the standard sets by the sponsored company in Japan.

HINO is also offering the scholars a series of training of Japanese language in preparation for the students to easily communicate the people surrounding them and to the Japanese clients respectively.

Toyota Motor Philippines has been an active partner of Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma High School for seven years and a number of Palmanian graduates have been opportunities to develop their skills and respond to the needs not only of barangay Payatas but also of the global community.
