The Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Foundation was honored to welcome Hon. Judge Jilliane Joyce R. De Dumo Cornista of RTC Branch 86 – Quezon City, a valued supporter of our Kids and Teens Court Awareness Program (KTCAP).
What made her visit especially memorable was the presence of her seven-year-old daughter, Aby, who arrived carrying a gift far greater than toys. With a generous heart, Aby donated some of her treasured belongings to be shared with KTCAP participants—children who are learning to navigate difficult experiences while finding hope and courage through the program.
For many, these were simply toys. For the children who received them, they were reminders that someone cares.
Behind this beautiful gesture is a powerful lesson in parenting. Judge Cornista is raising her daughter to understand that true success is not measured by what we have, but by what we are willing to share. Through simple acts of kindness, she is teaching compassion, empathy, and a sense of responsibility toward others—values that will guide Aby for years to come.
During their visit, Judge Cornista also introduced her daughter to the inspiring legacy of Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma through the Foundation’s museum exhibits. By sharing the story of a woman whose life was dedicated to justice, integrity, and public service, she helped plant seeds of inspiration in the next generation.

“The Kids and Teens Court Awareness Program (KTCAP) is a collaborative initiative designed to empower child and teen victims or witnesses of abuse and exploitation. Its goal is to prepare them for court appearances while easing the fear, anxiety, and uncertainty often associated with legal proceedings. Inspired by the King County Kids’ Court in Seattle and thoughtfully adapted for the Philippine context, KTCAP helps young participants understand the justice system, their role in it, and how to navigate courtroom processes with confidence and clarity.
