On 9 January 2026, Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma (AMLAC) Senior High School held a solemn and meaningful program to commemorate the 7th Death Anniversary of the Honorable Justice Cecilia Muñoz-Palma. As a beneficiary of the Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Foundation (AMLAC), the school paid tribute to the late Justice through a memorial gathering attended by about 700 senior high school students, teachers, teaching and non-teaching members, all united in remembrance and gratitude.
The commemoration featured a Thanksgiving Mass, a wreath-laying ceremony, and a series of messages of thanksgiving and reflection delivered by key members of the school community and the Foundation.

The program formally opened with welcome remarks from the school’s Principal, Mr. Edwin M. Abengoza, who set a reflective and reverent tone for the occasion. This was followed by an audio-visual presentation that vividly captured the life, public service, and enduring legacy of Justice Cecilia Muñoz-Palma, deeply resonating with the audience.

A particularly engaging highlight of the program was the deeply inspiring—yet warmly entertaining—anecdote shared by Mr. Tady M. Palma, the second son of the Honorable Justice and a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. His sharing offered personal insights into Justice Palma’s character, values, and lifelong dedication to public service.

This was followed by a personal reflection and shared celebration of Justice Palma’s life delivered by the Palmanian Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) President, Mr. Harvey Bryan Junto, who spoke on behalf of the student body.
Adding to the solemnity of the occasion, the school’s glee club, Tinig ni Palma, rendered Justice Palma’s favorite song, “You Are My Sunshine,” leaving the audience in quiet reflection.

The program concluded with a message from Mr. Jan G. Mallare, SPTA President, who expressed appreciation for Justice Palma’s enduring influence on the school community.
The event was hosted by Ms. Pearl Kate N. Bigayan and Ms. Clarel O. Tubeo, whose engaging presence ensured the seamless flow of the program.
